about the artist
Hello! I'm Anne Marie... My journey with animals and the Arts has been lifelong. After film school, and working in television for many years, I finally decided to go into business as a photographer in 2004. I quickly learned from the best horse photographer on the west coast, Gail Bates. There is an art to photographing horses at the correct angle and movement, and Gail is a pro. I also learned graphic design; working on magazine layouts for some of the best horse magazines in the country. Her teachings launched me into my own creative work. My career spans horse shows, private sessions for the professional horse industry; marketing several top stallions on the West Coast, and pets and their people.
My life was altered drastically with a car accident in 2013 that left me permanently disabled with leg and back injuries. As the years have passed, my injuries are still there, but my passion for animals and photography has not swayed.
I have finally decided to come back with limited bookings. I have missed the wonderful experiences of working with families and their furry children. And the thrill of photographing beautiful horses.
